How to Apply for Compute ?
This feature provides end users with the capability to apply for compute resources through the India AI Compute Portal. It includes functionalities that verify the submission of mandatory documents and confirm the user's eligibility before allowing access to the requested compute resources.

What are the AI services offered by IndiaAI on the cloud?
IndiaAI offers AI compute instances, network services, storage services, and various AI platforms and other services, including MLOps, LLMOps, and AI services for translation, transliteration, OCR, and audio processing.
Who is eligible to use IndiaAI empaneled AI services?
Eligibility extends to researchers, academic faculties, IndiaAI fellowship awardees, students, startups, MSMEs, and government entities, each with specific criteria and supporting documents. Detailed eligibility criteria may be referred under the Eligibility Criteria tab
What documents are required for registration?
Required documents vary by user category. Please refer to the detailed eligibility criteria
How do I register for access to AI services?
Users must register on the IndiaAI compute portal using Meri Pehchaan using their Digilocker, Parichay or ePramaan account. Next users would be expected to fill a registration form and upload relevant documents to establish their eligibility. The completed registration forms would be verified by designated verifying officials. Once the verifier approvers, user can submit request for accessing compute infrastructure.
What is the process for accessing compute?
Post successful registration, users must submit a detailed project proposal, including technical approach, envisioned impact, and estimated bill of materials. In case the requested GPU hours is less than 5000, the compute request is auto approved. For greater than 5000 GPU hours, approval would be provided by the PMEC committee. Requests should be submitted between 1-25th of the month. PMEC would publish the final list of approved users on the 10th of next month or next working day.
How is GPU allocation determined?
GPU allocation is based on user eligibility, the number of GPU hours requested, and whether a subsidy is sought. Requests are reviewed by the PMEC if they exceed certain thresholds.
What are the payment terms for using AI services?
IndiaAI subsidizes approved projects, but users must bear additional costs beyond the subsidy. Payments are made to the service provider as per their billing cycle.
What is the validity period for service approvals?
Approvals are valid for 30 calendar days, and users must start using the services within this period to avoid expiration.
How does IndiaAI ensure the security and proper use of AI services?
Security measures include IP address whitelisting, multi-factor authentication, role-based access controls, and regular audits.
What should I do if I encounter issues with service availability?
Empanelled agencies are required to ensure accessibility as per defined SLAs. Users may reach out to their service provided as per the support details published by them
